Foley, Baron, Metzger & Juip Partner Richard Baron has been appointed to the position of Committee Co-Chair for the Environmental & Toxic Tort Committee of the Claims Litigation Management (CLM) Alliance. Mr. Baron has been an active participant in CLM throughout the years, and recently presented to the organization at their Atlanta conference.

The CLM Alliance, founded in 2007, is a national organization of more than 30,000 members and fellows dedicated to the needs of professionals in the claims and litigation management industries. The Environmental & Toxic Tort Committee focuses on emerging and existing issues in the environmental, pollution and mass tort context. The Committee conducts webinars, roundtable discussions and produces articles to educate all CLM members and fellows on these issues.

Baron is the former Chairperson of the Environmental Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan, where he served on the Environmental Law Section Council for many years. In addition to being a CLM member, Mr. Baron is a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC) and carries Martindale-Hubbell’s “A-V” rating. He has served as an adjunct professor of Environmental Law and Aviation Law at Thomas M.
