The case involved allegations that the Defendant emergency physician failed to administer the clot busting drug tPA (tissue plasminogen activator) to a stroke patient or make a timely transfer of the patient to a larger hospital to receive the drug.

Tom Foley recently served as lead trial counsel in a successful defense verdict for GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies. The trial, held in Philadelphia, was the first trial nationally for GSK in the mass tort litigation involving claims over the drug phenylpropanolamine [PPA].
