Richard Baron Presents at IADC Annual Meeting in Vienna Austria
FBMJ attorney, Richard Baron, was a speaker at this year’s International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC) annual meeting on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 in Vienna, Austria. The IADC is an elite organization of approximately 2,500 international defense attorneys representing business entities across the world. During this collaborative presentation, Fracking: Litigation Coming Soon to a Firm Near You, Mr. Baron, along with other international panelists discussed how shale oil and gas is extracted and the risks for not only drillers, but for everyone involved. Topics covered included insurance coverage, the current status of litigation and regulation, land use, public perception and commercialization of the litigation process. For his part, Mr. Baron addressed the process and techniques behind this controversial method of well stimulation.
