Constitutional Law
Our constitutional law practice group has extensive experience asserting civil rights claims on behalf of individuals, nonprofits, and religious organizations. From informal negotiations to federal jury trials, our attorneys have been successful in actions against local governments that deprived individuals and organizations of their rights to due process and equal protection under the Fourteenth Amendment and 42 U.S.C. 1983.
Our deep understanding of constitutional and federal law has contributed to record-setting jury verdicts and obtaining the exact type of injunctive relief needed by the client. The constitutional law team has experience in federal courts in Michigan, California, and Mississippi, and is familiar with civil rights issues in the following areas:
- Religious Land Use
- Fair Housing Act (FHA)
- 42 U.S.C. 1983 Claims
- Land Use
- Zoning
