With two instrument-rated pilots on staff, Foley, Baron, Metzger & Juip has the capability and experience to assist clients in the business and operational aspects of aircraft maintenance, equipment and facilities.
We have been hired by pilots, corporate flight departments, fixed-based operators and private parties to represent them in a variety of claims and disputes associated with airplane and airport operations.
Some examples of our recent work are:
- Representation of the family of a passenger who died when his flight instructor flew into the side of a mountain;
- Represented aircraft operator in a claim for engine repair costs due to the in-flight failure of a Pratt and Whitney PT6 Turbo prop engine on a Beechcraft King Air which failed as a result of a chip detector installation error;
- Development of buy-sell and corporate aircraft operation agreements; and
- Aircraft purchase agreements, including assistance with pre-buy inspections.
