In addition to her medical malpractice experience, McDaniel has handled a broad range of defense cases including premises liability, general negligence, automobile liability, family law, employment law, workers compensation, and Americans with Disabilities actions.
Stacey has received multiple No Cause verdicts, both first and second chair, has argued in the Michigan Court of Appeals, and has additional appellate experience in the Michigan Supreme Court.
While in law school Stacey served as the President of the Women Lawyer’s Association and the Student Bankruptcy Organization. She enjoyed participating in advocacy programs and was heavily involved in moot court and mock trials. While in law school, Stacey was permitted to practice under Michigan court rules defending low-income indigent clients at the Family Law Assistance Program where she gained valuable court experience before being admitted to the State Bar of Michigan. Through this program she represented clients in divorce, child custody and support matters.
Prior to law school, Stacey worked as a Medical Assistant for a general practitioner in northeast Ohio for five years. Her medical training and clinical experience there has provided invaluable insight in her defense of medical malpractice claims.
She has a seasoned Maine coon cat named Arnold, who is sometimes heard snoring nearby during Zoom deposi
tions! Stacey enjoys traveling back to the Cleveland suburbs where she grew up, in addition to experiencing fine cuisine in the metro-Detroit area. She also enjoys the culinary delights of several lesser- known establishments “up north.”
Stacey also enjoys relaxing with a movie from eras gone by – the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s. Her favorite is a classic romantic comedy with Lucy and Desi Arnaz – The Long, Long Trailer.
