As a former Assistant prosecutor with the Wayne County Prosecutor’s office, Hussein gained valuable insight into the complexities of the judicial process and honed his skills in risk mitigation. It allowed him to build a strong foundation to navigate legal challenges effectively. Having represented both plaintiffs and defendants in personal injury cases, Hussein is able to anticipate opposing arguments and craft compelling cases to secure the best outcomes for his clients.
Hussein has experience in alternative dispute resolution methods such as mediation, arbitration, and negotiation. His experience in handling business matters is underpinned by a commitment to understanding the nuanced business needs of each of his clients. This focus allows Hussein to provide strategic and informed guidance to clients in complex business cases.
Having been described as a reasonable and pragmatic attorney by opposing counsel, Hussein fully believes in the power of finding common ground. His approach centers on identifying the core issues of a case and devising innovative strategies that benefit his clients.
Hussein is a member of the Environmental, Business, Litigation and Cannabis Sections of the State Bar of Michigan, as well as the Michigan Defense Trial Counsel (MDTC) and the National Arab Bar Association, he also sits as a Committee Member on the Dearborn Heights Tax Increment Finance Authority (TIFA) and the Brownfield Redevelopment Authority (BRA).
Hussein was born in Lebanon, raised in Michigan, and has travelled to many places around the globe. A sense of wanderlust has led him to backpack through Spain, get lost (literally) in Berlin on New Year’s (meeting strangers that guided him back to his group), and taste some of the crispest, coolest water from a mountain spring in Portugal (on an incredibly hot day in July). He enjoys visiting art museums wherever he goes – his favorite artists being Van Gogh, Bansky and Takehiko, and has made it a habit of investing in an unhealthy amount of art books (his words, not ours!)! Hussein loves art, but when asked, admits his own creative talents are much like his golf skills, “. . . nonexistent. I am better suited to enjoy art than I am at being an artist!”
Hussein is always trying to figure out how he can force more hours into a day to indulge in another hobby, plan his next travel destination, binge watch a new show, or read his favorite manga (Vagabond by Takehiko Inoue or Pluto by Naoki Urasawa, because the art is magnificent!).
