Joseph McGill Presented at National Business Institute Seminar
FBMJ Member, Joseph McGill, recently presented at the National Business Institute’s seminar titled, “Ohio Probate Process: In Seven Simple Steps.” The seminar provided instruction on the essential elements of the probate processes and best practices for handling each unique case effectively and was created for professionals involved in the administration of trusts and estates. Mr. McGill presented on issues related to postmortem tax planning, trust distributions, and trust administration, including tax implication of transfers, creating trusts and subtrusts for multiple beneficiaries, bequests and trust distributions to minors, post-mortem tax-planning approaches, and more. Mr. McGill is licensed in Ohio and Michigan and has advanced training and certifications in probate and estate planning through the Probate and Estate Planning Section of the State Bar of Michigan.
