Silvia is a Senior Associate at the firm. Her work focuses on defending health care professionals and organizations in complex medical malpractice claims and business dispute claims.
Before joining Foley, Baron, Metzger & Juip, Silvia worked several years at a busy Detroit litigation firm handling cases from start to finish. Before that, she gained experience in business transaction and startup work.
In addition to her work at Foley, Baron, Metzger & Juip, Silvia is heavily involved in the legal community, including serving as the current Chair of the State Bar of Michigan Young Lawyers Section as well a director on the Oakland County Bar Association Board of Directors. She was also the recipient of the Oakland County Bar Association 2019 Bonnie L. Beutler Outstanding New Lawyer Award, a recipient of a 2024 Michigan Lawyers Weekly Up & Coming Lawyer, and has been repeatedly named as a Rising Star to the Super Lawyers list.
In addition to being a scholarship recipient in law school, Silvia was a member of Michigan State’s Trial Practice Institute, was a clinician with the Small Business & Nonprofit Law Clinic, and an editor of the Journal of Business & Securities Law. Additionally, she interned with the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office, the 37th District Court of Michigan with the Honorable Judge Matthew P. Sabaugh and clerked with an Ingham County law firm.

When not focused on work, Silvia strives to enjoy everything that life has to offer. Whether it’s checking out new restaurants, attending conferences, hiking, traveling, cycling, getting together with family and friends, or relaxing at coffee houses, she seeks to take advantage of every moment.
Not afraid of new and exciting experiences, Silvia has also gone skydiving, hang gliding, participated in a 100-mile bike ride, jumped into Lake Superior from Marquette’s Black Rocks, jumped off the STRAT Hotel’s SkyJump, flown a plane, and hiked Angels Landing.
Moving forward in life, her bucket list includes, but is not limited to expanding her international travel, going whitewater rafting, and learning how to scuba dive.
