Whenever required, she aggressively defends her clients in products liability litigation, general liability, construction litigation, medical malpractice claims, corporate healthcare, insurance coverage disputes, managed care litigation and physician staff privilege claims. Should the matter require skilled counseling and prompt resolution, Carole has greater than 25 years of experience working closely with clients to bring matters to a satisfactory close. She represents clients in business and commercial litigation, insurance defense, premises liability, auto negligence, and medical products liability claims.
Carole has extensive experience in cross-examination and legal challenges to Plaintiff’s expert witnesses. She also advises clients in estate planning, elder law and in probate matters, has represented clients in trial and arbitration, and is an advocate for her clients inside and outside of the courtroom.
In addition to her federal and state litigation practice, Carole is a member of the Washtenaw County Bar Association, and member of the estate planning and trial practice sections. She is also a member of the Health Law Section and Probate & Estate Planning Section of the Michigan State Bar. Carole is a member of the Michigan Defense Trial Counsel, as well as the Michigan Society of Healthcare Risk Management (MSHRM) where she has served in leadership roles. Carole’s expertise has been sought to advise hospitals on risk management and liability issues in an effort to reduce risk and potential malpractice litigation.
Carole is a frequent speaker to physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, risk managers and her peers on a variety of healthcare topics including patient confidentiality, electronic medical records, professional credentialing, patient care issues, peer review, managed care, EMTALA, end of life care, mental health, guardianship and a variety of risk reduction topics.

When not bragging about their accomplishments, Carole spends her time outside of work as a Parish Council member at her church, is on a variety of community boards and volunteers to support area charities. She is a passionate cook, student of wine and winemaking, and is making the shift to local, organic farm to table and clean eating.
