Before joining the firm, Malak practiced medical malpractice defense at a Detroit law firm, representing physicians, nurses, and healthcare institutions in professional liability litigation from the Notice of Intent stage through resolution, including drafting and arguing dispositive motions. She began her career as a staff attorney at Michigan Legal Services, where she represented clients in landlord-tenant proceedings at the 36th District Court in Detroit.
Malak received dual Juris Doctor degrees – American and Canadian – from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law and the University of Windsor Faculty of Law in 2024. During law school, she was elected Chair of the American Bar Association Law Student Division, founded her school’s chapter of Law Students Without Borders, and served as a Program Coordinator with Pro Bono Students Canada, coordinating volunteer initiatives that connected law students with underserved communities.
Malak is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and is passionate about mentoring law students and staying involved in the legal community.
She stays active through Pilates, yoga, and strength training, and in her spare time enjoys drawing and painting portraits, traveling, reading, and exploring new coffee shops with friends.
