Hon. Joseph P. McGill, CFEI Appointed to Michigan Attorney Grievance Commission

Foley, Baron, Metzger & Juip, PLLC is proud to announce that our colleague, Hon. Joseph P. McGill, CFEI has been appointed by the Michigan Supreme Court to serve on the Attorney Grievance Commission (AGC).
Appointment to the Attorney Grievance Commission is a rare and prestigious honor. The nine-member body is composed of six attorneys and three laypersons, all appointed directly by the Michigan Supreme Court. Members serve as unpaid volunteers entrusted with the critical responsibility of investigating and prosecuting claims of attorney misconduct. Their work safeguards the public, upholds the integrity of the legal profession, and enforces the highest ethical standards of Michigan’s lawyers.
Mr. McGill will serve a three-year term in one of only six attorney seats on the Commission. Appointees are chosen by the Court for their professionalism, integrity, and commitment to public service.
“This appointment is a tremendous honor,” said McGill. “I look forward to contributing to the Commission’s vital work on behalf of the legal profession and the people of Michigan.”
In addition to this new role with the Attorney Grievance Commission, Mr. McGill is the 90th President of the State Bar of Michigan and currently serves as Honorary Consul of Ireland for the state of Michigan. His leadership and commitment to the profession continue to bring distinction to our firm.
We congratulate Joe on this outstanding achievement!
