Attorney Saulius D. Polteraitis Promoted to Associate Principal

Foley, Baron, Metzger & Juip, PLLC (FBMJ) is pleased to announce the promotion of attorney Saulius Polteraitis from Senior Associate to Associate Principal, effective July 1, 2016.

Polteraitis, who started at the firm in 2008, concentrates his practice in the healthcare industry where he specializes in the defense of medical malpractice claims. His many years of experience defending healthcare professionals and institutions, coupled with his experience prior to joining the firm working for a well-known personal injury law firm specializing in medical malpractice claims, have given Saulius a unique perspective and competitive advantage when defending his clients. In addition to his medical malpractice work, he represents clients in first and third-party no-fault cases, premises liability, products liability, employment and general negligence matters.

Saulius earned his law degree in 2005 from the University of Connecticut School of Law, where he served as Managing Editor for the Connecticut Insurance Law Journal. He sits on the Government Affairs and Membership Committees of the Michigan Society of Healthcare Risk Management (MSHRM) and is a member of the Negligence and the Health Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan. In addition, he is a President Emeritus of the Catholic Lawyers Society of Detroit.

“Saulius Polteraitis’ promotion is well-deserved promotion,” said Clyde Metzger, the firm’s managing member. “We are proud of his accomplishments and look forward to his continued success at the firm.”
