While attending law school at the Michigan State University College of Law Chris served as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Medicine and Law. He graduated cum laude while earning both his law school and undergraduate degrees, and received Jurisprudence Awards in Health Law and No-Fault Insurance.
Chris is a member of the Health Care, Young Lawyers, Negligence and Litigation sections of the State Bar of Michigan, as well as the Young Lawyers Division of the American Bar Association (ABA), the Oakland County Bar Association, American Health Lawyer’s Association, Michigan Society of Healthcare Risk Management (MSHRM), Detroit Economic Club, and Michigan Defense Trial Counsel (MDTC). He was first recognized as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers in 2012 and holds a Martindale-Hubbell rating of AV Preeminent, which is the highest level that can be achieved. He was also selected as a dBusiness “Top Lawyer” and was named one of Michigan Lawyer’s Weekly’s Up & Coming Lawyers in 2015.
Prior to joining FBMJ, Chris was a shareholder at a Metro Detroit law firm where he focused on medical malpractice defense and corporate litigation.
Outside of the office, Chris spends as much time as he can with his wife and two sons. The three of them enjoy traveling and trying new restaurants. Chris’ hobbies include golf, tennis, SCUBA and Detroit Lions Football.
