Prior to joining the firm, Brooke litigated across Michigan, working in both the private and public interest sector. She represented a sophisticated and diverse client base in the private sector, including healthcare professionals, insurance providers, and Fortune 100 companies. These disputes ranged from multi-million-dollar controversies to issues of equitable relief. In the public interest sector, Brooke worked on a nonprofit litigation team dedicated to mitigating pandemic-related homelessness where she secured housing stability for over 100 Michigan households via negotiation or trial.
Brooke attended Michigan State College of Law on a full-tuition academic scholarship. While attending Michigan State she won the Region 6 American Bar Association Negotiation Competition and was subsequently a National Semifinalist. She received the Jurisprudence Achievement Award, which is awarded to the highest achieving student receiving an “A” in a course, in both Negotiation and Clinic. She also clerked at a Bloomfield Hills insurance defense firm and was a judicial extern for the Honorable Rosemarie Aquilina in Ingham County Circuit Court.
She has spent time hiking and photographing the Badlands National Park, Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton National Park, Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, Grand Canyon National Park, Petrified Forest National Park, Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve, Black Hills National Forest, and Manistee National Forest. Locally she enjoys exploring Michigan’s Dragon Trail and the North Country National Scenic Trail. She is also the proud owner of two kayaks – one for her and another for whomever she can convince to grab the other paddle.
Brooke is an avid supporter of the theater. Whether it is a local production or a traveling company, a night at the theater is better than a night anywhere else. In her collegiate years Brooke was even known to occasionally step onto the stage herself. Her favorite musicals include Come From Away, Next to Normal, The Next Five Years, and Hamilton.
