Before joining Foley, Baron, Metzger & Juip, Christina practiced at a law firm in Okemos specializing in medical malpractice defense. She represented health care entities and health care providers in general and professional liability claims.
During law school, Christina spent a year working on criminal appeals through the Plea and Sentencing Clinic at the State Appellate Defenders Office. As a Law Clerk with the State Appellate Defenders Office, she assisted in the representation of indigent and underserved individuals wishing to appeal guilty verdicts or guilty pleas. Additionally, she also volunteered at the Student Legal Services, which served Michigan State University students facing minor criminal charges.
While in law school, Christina spent two summers interning with Jackson National Life Insurance and Michigan Farm Bureau. Prior to law school, she had the opportunity to work for the United States Attorney’s Office in the Western District of Michigan, Civil Division, as an Undergraduate Intern.
Christina is currently a member of Michigan Society of Healthcare Risk Management (MSHRM), the Negligence Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan, and the Michigan Defense Trial Counsel.
Christina loves extreme sports, from diving on the swim team in school to rock climbing as an adult. Her most extraordinary experience was rock climbing Point Dume in Malibu, California. Reaching the top of Point Dume at sunset was one of the most breathtaking experiences of her life. She also loves to downhill ski. She spent her winter break of her third year of law school in France skiing the French Alps.
