Experience
Mr. Sveska began his legal career in 1993 after practicing pharmacy for approximately 15 years. He represents business in the defense of products liability and toxic tort litigation and defends pharmacists, physicians and other health care providers against malpractice claims. He has considerable experience handling complex litigation, managing science and medical issues, experts and related components of national litigation as well as the preparation of Daubert challenges to plaintiff experts. Mr. Sveska also represents pharmacists and pharmacies in business “start up” activities including; buy-sell transactions, contracts, licensing agreements and other legal issues that arise in the typical pharmacy. Mr. Sveska has successfully tried a number of cases and is routinely involved in health care related regulatory matters including compliance audits, licensing, and health care law issues. Professional Background and Licensure
Mr. Sveska practiced pharmacy in hospital, chain, and community pharmacy settings. He was most recently a Director of Pharmacy in a hospital setting. He is an active member of the Michigan Pharmacists Association (MPA), the Michigan Society of Hospital Pharmacists (MSHP), the Oakland County Pharmacists Association, and sits on the Education Committee of the American Society of Pharmacy Law (ASPL). He is a member of the Michigan Society of Healthcare Risk Managers (MSHRM) and is admitted to the Michigan and Federal bars.
