Saulius Polteraitis is an associate with the firm. His practice focuses on defending businesses in products liability litigation, premises liability and toxic tort matters as well as representing health care organizations and professionals in the defense of complex medical malpractice claims.

Professional Background and Licensure

Before joining Foley, Baron, Metzger & Juip, Mr. Polteraitis worked as an associate for a personal injury firm in downtown Detroit, specializing in medical malpractice claims. Mr. Polteraitis has represented clients in first and third-party no-fault cases, premises liability, worker's compensation and general negligence matters.

Mr. Polteraitis graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Law, where he served as Managing Editor for the Connecticut Insurance Law Journal. While in law school, Mr. Polteraitis clerked for the Honorable Stephen Frazzini in Connecticut Superior Court. He worked as a summer associate for a general practice firm in Exeter, New Hampshire, where his experience included criminal defense. He also completed an internship with the Connecticut Attorney General's Anti-trust Department.

Mr. Polteraitis is admitted to practice in Michigan and Federal Courts. He is a member of the Catholic Lawyers Society of Detroit where he serves as an Advocate Director on its board.

Personal Interests

He has written and released multiple albums of original music, and is the author of a published short story, “Red.” Mr. Polteraitis is fluent in Lithuanian.
