Mr. McGill has extensive litigation and transaction experience in commercial law, business and estate planning, and complex corporate, probate and real estate matters. He advises clients for compliance with regulatory and procedural requirements in multiple areas. Mr. McGill's practice includes complex litigated matters such as business torts, construction litigation, coverage disputes, creditor rights, employee benefits, real property title disputes, subrogation/recovery, tax appeals and family law. In addition, he has experience in environmental matters, including contamination originating from UST's, AST's, and industrial air quality. He actively participates in emergency release response, pre-purchase/pre-sale due diligence, and defense of environmental contamination contribution actions across the nation. His environmental experience includes defense of mold related injury claims, lead contamination litigation and municipal sewage defect claims. Mr. McGill is a Principal at the firm.

Professional Background and Licensure

Mr. McGill is licensed in the states of Michigan and Ohio. He is also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, United States 6th Circuit Court of Appeals, United States Court of Veterans Appeals, United States Tax Court and several US District Courts. He has been admitted to practice in numerous state courts, including Missouri, Texas, New Jersey and California. He has completed advanced training in probate and estate planning through the Probate and Estate Planning Section of the State Bar of Michigan. McGill is also a certified Medicare Set-Aside Allocation consultant. He serves as Emeritus Director and past President of the Catholic Lawyers Society of Detroit and is a board member of the Incorporated Society of Irish American Lawyers. He is a 2009 Michigan Super Lawyer.
